Poplar Bluff First Church of God is hosting their annual Fall Festival on Sunday October 29th at 4pm!
"Fall Festival is a great event that allows children to come and have fun playing carnival-styled games as well as gather candy from each of the booths setup at Fall Fest.
We will have many different carnival-styled booths setup along our walking track (on the backside of our property) and kids can come through, play games, and do activities like:
• Ring Toss
• Gutter Boat Racing
• Dunking Booth
• Balloon Pop
• Cake Walk
• and much more!
We want to create a safe environment for children to enjoy the season and have a blast showing off their costumes and gathering candy prior to Halloween!
YES! We want every child to wear their costumes and walk around gathering candy and having fun!"
"This is our 5th Annual Fall Festival! Saturday, October 28, 2017 10am-5pm.
There's a $1 entry fee to help cover venue rent, game tickets are 25 cents each, and the bounce house tickets are $1 each.
This event is sure to please with a variety of vendors, food, treats, games, entertainment, and more! Each vendor has their own pricing.

"We will be hosting a Soup & Chili Cook-Off on Sunday October 15th at 5pm here at Poplar Bluff First Church of God! Everyone that enters into the Cook-Off will serve their soup or chili from the tailgate of their car. We will have everyone back up to the Pavilion in the back of the church and we'll serve from there.
Not only will we eat food together, but we'll sing some songs together and hear some testimonies on what God has been doing in people's lives! It's going to be a great evening together. We hope you'll come and be a part of this amazing event!"

"Movie On The Lawn is exactly what it says! We will be hanging up a screen on Sunday September 24th at 5pm and projecting a movie onto the backside of the church and everyone will set up their lawn chairs to watch the movie. We will be cooking out and serving food throughout the night and just having a great time hanging out and enjoying a movie.
This is a great opportunity to get family and friends together as well as invite your neighbors, coworkers, distant relatives, etc! It's going to be fun and something you may not do everyday."

The 87th Annual MO/Mid-South Gospel Singing Convention will be held on September 15th and 16th at the First Baptist Church in Dexter. Pre-Show begins at 4:30 pm each evening and there will be over 36 groups and artists performing at the event. The event is a fundraiser to provide scholarships for kids through the Jimmy Jack Foundation.

We are having our Backyard Block Party to get to know the local community right here around the church! We want to gain new friendships and build relationships with those, literally, in our backyard. We are going to get together, grill some hotdogs, hand out backpacks to those with children, play some games, and have a blast getting to know each person that comes out!
