Introducing "Artist By Heart"

Artist By Heart

a movement aimed at connecting our community by heart

Connection to the community around you is essential to a healthy life. Research has proven that we can not truly thrive as individuals when we are physically and emotionally disconnected from each other. We see this through an overwhelming number of individuals who experience feelings of loneliness, and through rates of depression and suicide which continue to climb, despite the introduction of social media.

Social media is merely a shadow of true connectedness, and can actually lead to the opposite of community. It encourages us to look inward (toward one's self) and we can't connect to others in real and meaningful ways if our focus is consistently inward.
Artist By Heart is aimed at broadening our understanding of what true community can look like, while providing opportunities for connection in our local community.

In an effort to build relationships outside of our smart phones and our comfort zones, Artist By Heart wishes to change the way you understand connection by leading you toward a beautifully enriched community experience. You will be kept up to date with community events, get up close and personal with local businesses, and occasionally you will receive an encouraging thought from some of our community-passionate writers.

As Brian Solis, the principal analyst at Altimeter, aptly puts it, "Community is much more than belonging to something; it is about doing something together that makes belonging matter." So, the question is, "What can we do together that would make belonging matter?"

Artist By Heart wishes to bring you a variety of opportunities to form relationships with your neighbors while making an impact on your community. From charity events and serving others, to back yard barbecues and just hanging out, Artist By Heart wants to keep you up to date on whats happening in your neck of the woods so that you, too, can be involved.

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another..." Hebrew 10:24-25
